I didn’t set out to start a wellness company. In fact, I left the corporate world in what you might call… a dramatic exit. Years of travel, stress, and juggling work with family finally caught up with me. My body shut down, my rheumatoid arthritis flared, and I was forced to stop and ask: what is all this really for?
Around the same time, my husband (and now co-founder), Kelly, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer — not hereditary, but entirely environmentally caused. While he began treatment, he also dove headfirst into researching the connection between nutrition, gut health, and mental wellness. Meanwhile, I couldn’t help but notice our daughters sliding into the all-too-familiar teenage diet of Starbucks, treats, and energy drinks. Watching their stress rise as their nutrition fell was a wake-up call.
It all came together: Kelly’s cancer, our kids’ eating habits, my own burnout and the growing realization that everyone around us — colleagues, friends, family — was hitting a wall. Burnout is real. And the “solutions” being fed to us (5 a.m. journaling, meal-prepped mason jars, cereal-bowl size daily pill regimens, or a perfectly clean diet of organic superfoods and salmon on repeat) just made us feel worse, not better. Because for most of us, those fixes may look good on screens but they are not for real life or long term.
So we started BRYTR with one simple idea: wellness shouldn’t be about chasing perfection. It should be about taking small, smart steps that you actually can do — and feeling good about them. We created the blueprint for BRYTR DAYS, then partnered with a team of scientists and business leaders who shared our vision and helped bring it to life.
BRYTR DAYS is a daily scoop with 17 clinically-backed nutrients your brain and body need for optimal mental wellness. It won’t replace sleep, exercise, or an ideal diet (and we’re not pretending it will). But it is one thing you can control — a daily step you can take and know you’ve done something good for yourself, no matter what else your day brings.
Because the truth is, one small step leads to another. And another. And before long, you’re moving in the direction you want to go.
Here’s to BRYTR days, one scoop at a time.
